Frozen Green Beans Air Fryer

The air fryer is for way more than chicken wings and french fries. In an effort change up my snacking game, I love a good savory snack, and I have made it a goal to reach for more vegetables.

As much as I like to think I always have prepped fresh vegetables on hand, I don’t. However bags of frozen vegetables, yes, are always in the freezer. I have discovered that tossed in the air fryer they are a delightful treat.

Now I am not saying they are as good as a bag of salty chips, BUT air fried with crispy edges and seasoned with garlic, onion, salt, and pepper they do hit the spot. Not to mention that they’re healthier and quite filling. I don’t feel the least bit guilty if I eat the entire bag.

Air Fryer Frozen Green Beans in the air fryer

I use the COSORI Air Fryer for all of my air fryer recipes. I’m partial to a square basket air fryer as I find it easier to fit more food into the basket. This is a 5.8QT air fryer, one of the largest machines I’ve found that works effectively.

The machine is a bit retro with simple knob controls. It turns out that I really like the basic settings and ability to set the time and temp like a traditional appliance. I’ve used a few different air fryers with pre-programmed settings and I found I was still tweaking the times.

This air fryer is surprisingly easy to clean and the two-part basket locks together (it’s literally impossible for it to detach the way some do) until you open the latch and then push the button to release it. I simply wipe down the baskets with a sudsy dish scrub brush or sponge, rinse and let them air dry on the counter.

Air Fryer Frozen Vegetables

I am still partial to my roasted vegetables. However, for a quick snack or side dish for 2-3 people, the air fryer comes in quite handy.

✨DELICIOUS!✨ I didn’t lose the flavor of the fresh garden beans that my mom and I froze together; the oil kept everything from getting too crispy, but also carried the seasoning throughout the batch. The hint of spice added does not overpower. I added some onion slices for personal taste, and the yellow onions add a bit of a sweetness overall. Totally recommend!
