- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons light flavored olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Cholula hot sauce OPTIONAL
- 8 cups shredded green cabbage
- 1½ teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons sugar
Combine the vinegar, olive oil, and hot sauce in a large mixing bowl. Add the shredded cabbage and toss well to coat.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and sugar. Toss again to mix thoroughly. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
