Maple Roasted Brussels Sprouts
The sweet decadence of maple syrup balances the soft nuttiness of roasted Brussels sprouts and the crispy bacon pieces in a dish that is simply divine.
Servings: 4 servings
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
- ⅓ cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 4 slices bacon cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Place the Brussels sprouts in a 9x13 baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss to coat.
Top with bacon pieces. Roast until the bacon is cooked through and the Brussels have crisp edges, about 30 minutes. Stir once, halfway through the cooking time, if desired. Drizzle with maple syrup before serving.
