Course: Side Dish
Cuisine: American
Servings: 4 servings
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound green beans ends trimmed
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt adjust to taste
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper adjust to taste
Preheat your oven to 425°F. Place the green beans on the baking sheet and drizzle with oil. Season with salt and pepper and toss to coat.
Roast the green beans for 14-16 minutes. If you want perfectly crisp edges shown here continue cooking for an additional 6-8 minutes.
I LOVE very well-roasted green beans with super crispy and charred edges. However, If you like your green beans to remain a brighter green color with more bite to them, watch them after about 15 minutes and pull them from the oven when they’re done to your liking.
Also, this recipe multiplies beautifully, because green beans do shrink a good bit when cooking them this way. You can double or triple the recipe without any issues.
