Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon granulated garlic or garlic powder
  • ½ cup caramelized onions about 5 onions worth
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh Italian parsley

Instructions

  • In a medium-size bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, and garlic until smooth. Stir in the cold caramelized onions. Taste and adjust seasonings, as needed.
  • Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to serve. Sprinkle with parsley before serving, if desired.
