Spicy Pickled Cabbage

Ingredients 

  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons light flavored olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Cholula hot sauce OPTIONAL
  • 8 cups shredded green cabbage
  • teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Instructions

  • Combine the vinegar, olive oil, and hot sauce in a large mixing bowl. Add the shredded cabbage and toss well to coat.
  • Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and sugar. Toss again to mix thoroughly. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
