Garlic Butter Broccoli
This garlic butter broccoli is easy as can be to make while it's also flavorful and bright with fresh herbs and a squeeze of lemon just before serving.

- 1 pound broccoli cut into bite-size pieces
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh Italian parsley chopped small
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt adjust to taste
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper adjust to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice OPTIONAL
Bring two inches of water to boil in a large pot. Place the broccoli in a steamer basket and put the basket into the pot of boiling water. Cover the pot, and lower the heat to medium. Steam for 5-6 minutes.
While the broccoli is steaming, combine the butter and the garlic in a small bowl. Microwave for about 30 seconds until the butter has melted. Stir to combine. Stir in the parsley.
Remove the broccoli from the heat when the broccoli is bright green and still slightly firm. Drain well and then transfer the broccoli to a large serving bowl. Drizzle with the butter mixture. Toss well to coat.
Season to taste with salt and pepper. Drizzle with lemon juice, if desired. Serve warm.
