10ouncescanned original Rotel tomatoes with green chiledrained
4ouncescanned diced green chiles
½small yellow onionchopped, about ½ cup
½cupfresh cilantro
1-4fresh jalapenosstem and seeds removed, adjust for desired heat
3clovesgarlic
1teaspoonsugar
½teaspoonkosher salt
1tablespoonlime juice
Instructions
Combine all of the ingredients in the blender and pulse several times until the desired consistency has been reached.
Grab a chip and taste the salsa. Adjust the salt and lime juice to taste, if desired.
Notes
We make this salsa with at least 4 jalapeno peppers and we love the spicy heat that creates. If you prefer a milder salsa, I recommend starting with just 1 or 2 jalapenos.
