How to Saute Broccoli

Ingredients 

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound broccoli cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • ½ tablespoon kosher salt adjust to taste
  • ¼ tablespoon pepper adjust to taste

Instructions

  • Warm a large skillet over medium-high heat for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add oil and broccoli to the skillet and toss to coat. Add 1 tablespoon water and cover with a lid. Cook for 3 minutes.
  • Uncover and stir. Season with salt and pepper. Continue cooking uncovered, stirring occasionally to allow the broccoli to brown a bit, for an additional 2-3 minutes to desired doneness.
  • When broccoli is tender-crisp, remove from heat. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
